Kendall Qualls
Leading Candidate For MN Governor
To the Residents of Delano,
I am proud to offer my endorsement of Jason Franzen for Mayor of Delano.
In a time when many communities are searching for steady leadership, practical solutions, and a renewed focus on serving residents rather than politics, Jason Franzen stands out as the right leader for Delano's future. He understands that strong communities are built on public safety, responsible fiscal management, strategic and thoughtful growth, and preserving the values that make towns like Delano such special places to raise a family and build a business.
Jason brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to leadership. He listens to people, respects differing opinions, and focuses on getting results rather than creating division. Those qualities are increasingly rare in public life and exactly what local government needs today.
Delano deserves a mayor who will protect the character of the community while also preparing responsibly for future growth and opportunity. Jason Franzen has demonstrated the integrity, work ethic, and commitment necessary to lead with both vision and accountability.
Most importantly, Jason understands that local government works best when it remains close to the people it serves. He believes in transparency, fiscal responsibility, safe neighborhoods, and ensuring Delano remains a community where families, small businesses, and future generations can thrive.
I encourage the citizens of Delano to support Jason Franzen for Mayor. I am confident he will serve the community with honor, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to the people of Delano.
Sincerely,
Kendall Qualls

Former MN State Senator, Judge, And Current Candidate For MN Secretary Of State
I'm thrilled with Jason's candidacy for mayor of Delano.
Jason has my full support. He is simply the right candidate, at the right time, to guide Delano on the right path.
Jason has built a solid reputation in serving Delano on the city council. He works for lower taxes, a strong business climate, fire and police protection, responsible growth, transparency and accountability.
Jason has worked well with other elected officials to improve flood protection and make local streets flow better. Anna, Jason and the family are frequent participants in local community events, church gatherings, school or educational activities. Jason understands the importance of history, the strength of our culture and our way of life. He exemplifies steady stewardship.
Delano now finds itself in the path of growth. Jason will see to it that any growth is responsible and compatible with the Delano community. Jason listens to constituents.
As a former state representative, senator, county commissioner and district court judge, I can attest that Jason sets the standard in solving local city problems. He will often find that elusive win/win solution. He is good at collaborating with elected officials at the other levels of government in order to protect Delano taxpayers!
I'm pleased to lend my support to Jason Franzen as the next mayor of Delano.
Thank you.

Jason Franzen has been a good friend for over 15 years. We first met at the Polish Saturday School where our children were learning Polish language and culture. Although not a Polish speaker, Jason didn’t shy away from the community. Always engaged, talking to other parents or helping with various events.
Throughout the years Jason has been taking on different roles at various Polish organizations. Jason and I served on the School Board together. Without having access to public funding or big donors the school run mostly on the power of volunteers with very limited funds, so Jason’s good ideas and ability to problem solve were very useful during those times.
Other “jobs” that Jason did in Polish community included taking part in events, anniversaries, annual Christmas plays and religious celebrations. We went with school families on skiing trips, and camping trips to build rapport between children and parents, andto shape the community. I should mention that I put “jobs” in parenthesis, as they were all volunteer positions.
Another big event that Jason was a big part of each year was Festival of Nations in St. Paul. I was a Chair of Polish Culture Exhibit for several years and I could always count on Jason’s help. He spent several hours each year in the Culture Booth volunteering using his background in history to talk to visitors, school children and patrons, educate them on Polish history and culture. Similar venue was TC Polish Festival, were he would also be present and always talking with patrons.
Jason would not shy away from discussing difficult topics, historical disagreements or politics always expressing his conservative values and arguing his views. Jason has been involved in publishing of Kurier Polski of Minnesota, a Polish conservative-catholic newspaper that his wife Anna owned, but that Jason wrote many articles for. The purpose of the newspaper was keeping the community informed on important issues. In the world of misinformation, the newspaper was a vital form of learning the true information to many members of the Polish community.
Over the years we’ve become friends. Our families attended many formal and private functions during which I was able to observe Jason’s interactions with people in different situations and settings. I can confidently say that he is always ready to talk with people, council on politics, economy and history. Jason has been true to himself; he would never deny his conservative values. If I was to describe Jason in 3 words, I’d say: Conservative, Reliable, Friend.
Sincerely,
